Reaching Panna National Park

About Panna National Park

Panna National Park is undoubtedly the home to the largest predators and the highest waterfalls in the world. This park has the unique superpower to simultaneously excite and relax you—like it’s a diamond mine to India. The forest is certainly a gem concealed, harbouring diversity in its belly and protecting its land since the recent past of 2008. All it needs is a boat ride on the Ken to realise this. Panna stands on the pristine grounds of a broadleaf dry deciduous forest after years of poaching.

Panna National Park made conservation of tigers history. Between 2006 and 2008, deliberate poaching resulted in the death of every Tiger in this park. 3 Tigers were subsequently transferred from other reserves into Panna in 2009. These tigers settled in Panna, where thanks to the tireless work of Mr. Murthy, the field director at the time, the number of tigers has grown to 55. (cubs included). Currently, this park is home to over 300 different bird species, deer, monkeys, sloth bears, crocodiles, tigers, and leopards.
