Detailed Itinerary: Golden Triangle & Tiger Safari Tour in India

Day 1: Arrival at Delhi

When you arrive at the New Delhi International Airport, meet our representative. He will drive you to the hotel, help you check in, hand over and go over all the travel-related paperwork with you. Stay the night at the hotel.

Day 2 : New Delhi - Nagpur - Pench National Park (flight + 100 kms/2 hrs drive)

Transfer to the airport in the morning following an early breakfast in order to join a flight at 1020 hrs. that arrives in Nagpur at 1200 hrs. Meet up with our local driver at the airport, then travel the two hours and 100 kilometres to Pench National Park. Check into the lodge after arrival. After lunch, go on a jeep safari to see tigers in Pench National Park. Staying the night at the lodge for dinner.

This tropical moist deciduous forest, which covers an area of 758 sq km in Southern India, extends into the tropical dry deciduous teak forest. There are several intertwining streams and “nallahs” in the area, most of which are seasonal. Even though the Pench River dries up in the latter week of April, the area still has a variety of watering holes for the local fauna known as “dohs.” The only significant water source during this dry spell is the Pench Reservoir in the park’s middle.

Day 3 : In Pench National Park

Pench National Park offers Jeep tiger safaris in the morning and the afternoon. Included are meals and one night at the resort.

Tigers typically live in and visit this area along the Pench River since there is an abundance of prey there. While they typically operate in the periphery, leopards have recently been spotted in the deep forest as well. Many people have seen jungle cats. Rare sightings include palm civets, small Indian civets, and leopard cats.

Cheetal and Sambar deer are frequently spotted in Pench feeding on the open areas by the side of the road and along the banks of rivers and reservoirs. In the Park, jackals can be observed looking for food. Wild dog packs of up to 15 or more have been spotted close to the Reserve’s Chhedia, Jamtara, Bodanala, and Pyorthadi sections. In the summer, gaur herds are frequently seen by streams and bamboo groves. Sloth beer prefer the mahua and bel-dominated woodland and live in the rocky places. Chinkara is a fairly rare species that can be found in the open spaces near the villages of Turia, Telia, and Dudhgaon.

Day 4 : Pench National Park – Kanha National Park (210 kms/4-5 hrs drive)

Tiger safari excursion in a jeep in the morning in Pench National Park. After a leisurely lunch, travel the 210 kilometres (4-5 hours) to Kanha National Park. Check into the hotel as you arrive. Dinner and overnight stay at the Kanha resort.

Day 5 - 6 : In Kanha National Park

This is the authentic Kipling country that Rudyard described in such vivid detail in The Jungle Book. A predetermined location will have a packed breakfast from the Lodge set out on the Safari vehicle’s bonnet. Enjoy your breakfast while exploring Kanha’s forest.

If you haven’t already, keep looking for the elusive Tiger while taking in the revitalising and pristine surroundings. arrive home from safari at 11:30. While lunch is being prepared, get dressed.

Arrive at the park for your afternoon jeep tiger safari after lunch. After the safari, return at 6 o’clock. at the Lodge for dinner and the night.

The forests of the Banjar and Halon valleys, which represent Kanha’s western and eastern parts, greet you as you prepare for another day of wildlife safari in the National park the next day, or Day 6. Kanha National Park was created in 1955 as a result of a special declaration. Since then, a number of strict conservation initiatives have been started in order to maintain the park’s species and flora as a whole. Kanha is home to about 38 different animal species. The gaur, the largest bovine in the world, the sambar, the largest Indian deer, and the chausingha, the only four-horned antelope in the world are some of the residents of this park.

The Nilgai antelope, the sloth bear, the dhole, or Indian wild dog, and an occasional leopard are other frequent visitors. The park is home to about 300 different bird species, including storks, egrets, black ibis, raptors, owls, and nightjars.

Leave for your Kanha National Park afternoon jeep tiger safari. Return from safari at 6:00 p.m. at the Lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 7 : Kanha National Park – Bandhavgarh National Park (by surface, 275 kms/6 hrs drive)

Day 8 - 10 : In Bandhavgarh National Park

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at the Resort. Morning and afternoon tiger safari in the national park.

The national park’s main draw is its strong tiger population, or Bandhavgarh. The renowned White Tigers of Rewa were first uncovered here. Leopards, Blue Bulls, Indian Gaur (Bison), Chausingha (Four Horned Antelopes), Spotted Deers, Sambar Deers, Exotic Boar, Sloth Bears, Fox, Jackals, Wild Dogs, and others are among the park’s numerous wild attractions. The Park is home to 250 different bird species and at least 22 different mammal species. The Ratel, Porcupine, Small Indian Civet, Palm Squirrel, Lesser Bandicoot Rat, Jungle Cat, and Striped Hyenas are some of the additional creatures that may be found at Bandhavgarh. Cobras, Kraits, Vipers, Ratsnakes, Pythons, Monitor Lizards, and turtles are among the park’s reptile residents. The rhesus macaque and the Hanuman langur are the two primate species that call Bandhavgarh home.

Day 12 : New Delhi – Agra (by surface, 220 kms/4 hrs drive)

Drive to Agra after a leisurely morning (220kms, 4-hour drive). Check into the hotel after arrival. Visit Mehtab Bagh in the evening to see the Taj Mahal at dusk. Located in Agra, North India, Mehtab Bagh is a cluster of charbaghs. It is located in the flood plains on the other side of the Yamuna River from the Taj Mahal complex and the Agra Fort. The Taj Mahal is exactly aligned with the square-shaped garden complex, which is roughly 300 square metres in size and on the opposite bank.

Day 13 : Agra – Jaipur (by road, 235 kms/5 hrs drive)

Visit the famous Taj Mahal, a white marble mausoleum that was constructed in the middle of the 17th century by the Moghul ruler Shah Jehan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, as soon as dawn breaks.

A total of 20,000 labourers and talented craftsmen from Persia, Turkey, France, and Italy laboured arduously for 17 years to construct this building, which was finally finished in 1652. After a leisurely breakfast, head over to the red sandstone AGRA FORT, which is surrounded by formidable 20-meter high walls and a 12-meter moat and stands like a crescent on the banks of the Yamuna River. Akbar, Jehangir, and Shah Jehan, three succeeding Mughal rulers, contributed to the construction of this enormous building that combines Muslim and Hindu design elements. On Fridays, [The Taj is closed]. Hotel check-out is required.

Later, drive to Jaipur (235 kms/5-hours). On arrival, check into hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 14 : Jaipur, Rajasthan

You will travel 11 km outside the city this morning and halt at Jal Mahal to view Amber Fort, which served as the State’s first capital until 1728. Visit the Jai Mahal, the Hall of Victory, or the Kali Temple.

Visit the City Palace and Museum, the Observatory, and the Palace of the Winds afterwards. The textile department of the museum displays remarkable garments worn by the erstwhile Maharajas and Maharanis of Jaipur. Beautiful carpets, enamelled ornaments, precious and semi-precious stones, brass jewellery, and a variety of other arts and crafts are among Jaipur’s best-known exports. Spend some time around the congested alleys and byways of the pink city in the evening bargaining and looking for souvenirs.

Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 15 : Jaipur - New Delhi (by road, 260 kms/5 hrs drive)

After a leisurely breakfast, return to New Delhi by car (260 kms, 5 hrs). Obtain a transfer to a hotel close to the airport.

Day 16 : New Delhi Fly back home

After breakfast transfer to International airport to board a flight to back home.
