Detailed Itinerary: Snow Leopard Expedition with Leh Tour
Day 1 : Arrive New Delhi (By Flight)
When you arrive at the New Delhi airport, a representative from our company will greet you and take you to your hotel, help you check in, and hand you all necessary travel paperwork while briefing you on your next tour. Spend the night in a hotel in New Delhi.

Day 2 : New Delhi - Leh (Flight)
This flight is among the greatest in India if the weather is clear. After passing Manali, you can see a snowy landscape with peaks sticking out of it outside the window. This keeps going until you get to the airport in Leh. Not one of the simplest airports to arrive at is surrounded by four peaks. But before landing, the skilled pilots give you a full 360-degree panorama of this secret paradise.
The elevation of Leh is 3,500 metres. Since acclimatisation is crucial for you to fully enjoy your vacation, we’ll start out slowly by spending two whole days close to Leh to get used to the altitude. We will therefore unwind in our hotel for the remainder of the day.

Day 3 : Leh Sightseeing
Morning at Leisure. Monastic tour of Shey, Thikey. Overnight in Hotel.
Leh sightseeing; travels to Shey, Thiksey, and Hemis for cultural experiences. We’ll spend the entire day adjusting to the altitude and getting to know the area. We are going to Shey today, which used to be the royal family’s home. This monastery is well-known for its tall, golden Buddha statue. One of the greatest specimens of Ladakhi architecture, Thiksey, is located twelve miles from Leh and is in a stunning location. This gompa is one of the biggest and most impressive in the region, and it features a number of temples with statues, stupas, and priceless wall murals. The Thiksey monastery houses an impressive collection of artwork. The valleys can be seen beautifully from the roof. We will also visit Hemis Gompa, one of the richest, largest and most famous Ladakhi Gompas, built during the 1630s.
Day 4 : Leh - Zingchen - Husing (Drive for 2 hours, trek for 2.5 hours)
Driving from Leh (3,500 metres) to Zingchen (3,600 metres) and then on to Husing (3,800 metres) takes around two hours. Trek time from Zingchen to Husing is around 2.1/2 hrs. Spend the night in tent camps
Husing, popularly known as “the world capital of Snow Leopard,” is the intersection of three notable valleys noted for Snow Leopard sightings. For the next five days, we set out in search of the several bye-valleys that branch off of the Husing pastureland, using the campsite at Husing as our base camp.

Day 5 - 9 : Snow Leopard Excursions
The local expert will teach you how to interpret through local art and techniques of smelling of rock sand (smell of the leopard’s urine), reading of pug mark, scrape (the animal’s digging of the ground), scate (stool), and rock-face rubbing of the snow leopard today when you go on an early morning excursion to the trails they frequent.
The expert will also impart traditional information from the area on how to recognise the snow leopard’s hunting habits and kill locations. Spend the night in tent camps.
Some prime examples are as below:
(a) Alert calls of deer, blue sheep or barals.
(b) Hovering of the golden eagle over kill spots.
(c) Excited screaming of magpies indicating kills.
(d) Nervous movement of the red fox in the nearby vicinity of the kill.
Through mapping and tracking, locate “hot spots” (machans) vantage locations. Additionally, use strategies to win the villagers’ trust so they may notify and transmit real-time information about any snow leopard sightings.
We work in the neighbouring bye-valleys of the main Ranjon valley, which is behind Husing and Rumbak, while keeping our ears and eyes open and travelling along the snow leopard mapping grid.
We’ll also go on day trips to Tarbung and Kharlung, the other two well-known valleys where snow leopard sightings are common, to check out their habitats and pathways.

Day 10 : Rumbak Doh - Zinchen (Walk) - Leh
Walk from Rumbak Doh to Zinchen where the vehicles are waiting to take you back to Leh city. Overnight at Hotel in Leh.
Day 11 : Leh - New Delhi (Flight)
You will be driven to the airport in Leh this morning in time to catch your flight to New Delhi. When you arrive in Delhi, a representative from our company will greet you and take you to your hotel for the night.
Day 12 : New Delhi - Onward Destination
Check out and make your way to the airport in the morning to catch a trip home or elsewhere.
